Boyer, Gabriel

Gabriel Boyer was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania around 1845 and served in the 41st United States Colored Troops during the Civil War. According to his service records, Boyer worked as a laborer before he joined Company C of the 41st USCT in West Chester, Pennsylvania on September 12, 1864. Hospital records indicate that Boyer arrived at Point of Rocks Hospital in Virginia in early February 1865 and died on March 4 from “acute dysentery.” (By Don Sailer)
