J.D. Frederick, class of 1864, appeals his expulsion from Dickinson College for drunkenness
The Dickinson College faculty convened their weekly meeting in the afternoon. The only item of business was the appearance and request of John Durell Frederick for some modification of his dismissal from the College for habitual drunkenness. The faculty tabled his request but dismissed it at their next meeting. J.D. Frederick later became a photographer and father of six in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, where he died in 1897.
