WAYNE COUNTY, situated In the southeast part of Missouri, with St. Francis river on the southeast, and traversed by the Big Black. Area, 1,200 square miles. Seat of justice, Greenville. Pop. in 1830, 3,264; in 1840, 3,403; in 1850, 4,518.
