HALL COUNTY, situated in the northeasterly part of Georgia, and traversed by Chattahoochee river. Area, 525 square miles. Face of the country mountainous and hilly. Seat of justice, Gainesville. Pop. in 1820, 5,086; in 1830, 11,755; in 1840, 7,875; in 1850, 8,713.
