DAVIESS COUNTY, situated on the northern boundary of Kentucky, Ohio, and Green rivers. Area, 600 square miles. Face of the country hilly, except along the streams; soil generally productive. Seat of justice, Owensborough. Pop. in 1830, 5,218; in 1840, 8,331; in 1850, 12,361.
