FLEMING COUNTY, situated toward the northeasterly part of Kentucky, with Licking river on the southwest. Area, 570 square miles. Face of the country undulating; soil, fertile. Seat of justice, Flemingsburgh. Pop. in 1810, 8,947; in 1820, 12,186; in 1830, 13,500; in 1840, 13,268; in 1850, 13,916.
