BLOUNT COUNTY, situated in the northern part of Alabama. Length, 32 miles; breadth, 30; with an area of 960 square miles. The face of the country is generally hilly. Seat of justice, Blountsville. Pop. in 1820, 2,415; in 1830, 4,233; in 1840, 5,570; in 1850, 7,367.
