    28. Started on my long anticipated trip to Carlisle. Lovely day. Arrived in Balt. to dinner. Mill came in the Ev'g. Had great joy in meeting many old friends: met Con. Chichester who is well. He spent a night with me & we had much pleasant talk of old times.

    - So Kate Emery is engaged to Asbury Morgan! O God - my I feel the importance of the Lesson from the hard teaching it takes!
