LEHIGH COUNTY, situated in the east part of Pennsylvania, with Lehigh river on the northeast. Area, 389 square miles. Face of the country, diversified and picturesque; soil fertile. Seat of justice, Allentown. Pop. in 1820, 18,895; in 1830, 22,256; in 1840, 25,787; in 1850, 32,479.
