New administration takes office in Great Britain

After the recent resignation of Lord Derby and the end of his second administration, a coalition of Whigs, Radicals, and Peelites forms under Lord Aberdeen to take office. The new cabinet includes Lord Palmerston as home secretary, Lord John Russell as foreign secretary, and William Gladstone as chancellor of the exchequer. It will last until January 30, 1855.
