Face of the country, toward the Wabash, even; in the interior, hilly; soil generally fertile. Seat of justice, Vincennes. Pop. in 1810, 7,945; in 1820, 5,437; in 1830, 6,557; in 1840, 10,657; in 1850, 11,084.
