CARROLL COUNTY, situated on the northerly boundary of Kentucky, on the south side of the Ohio river, and traversed by Kentucky river. Area, 140 square miles. Seat of justice, Carrollton. Pop. in 1840, 3,966; in 1850, 5,526.
