SOLUTION OF THE LABOR QUESTION IN THE SOUTH. Inquiring Stranger. "Well, now the war is over, what are you people going to do for a living?" EX-SLAVES. "Why, Master, we's gwine to draw." "Draw what?" "Draw rations, Sir." EX-DOMINANT RACE. "I reckon we'll run - " "Run! After what?" "O! we'll run for offices of some sort - Congress, Legislature, Constables, or Notary Public, or any thing!"
