Ball, Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin Ball, born in Alexandria County, Virginia on January 15, 1839, entered Dickinson in 1857 and graduated with his class in 1860. He became a clergyman and served two terms as the "presiding elder" at the Methodist Episcopal Church south. He did not serve in the military. He married Alice A. Hobbs in February 1870, had 6 children, and died in Waynesboro, Virginia on January 26, 1923. (By Brandon Rothenberg)
