    The Southern Medical Students

    RICHMOND, VA., Thursday, Dec. 22.

    The medical students, on their arrival from Philadelphia, were received by the Faculty and students of the Medical College, the Governor’s Guard, and an immense throng of citizens. The procession marched to the Governor’s mansion, where an address was delivered by Gov. WISE. It thence proceeded to the College, where Prof. GIBSON made a speech. Dinner was partaken of at the Columbian Hotel. There was great enthusiasm and waving of handkerchiefs along the route.

    NEW-ORLEANS, Thursday, Dec. 22.

    The Medical College faculty, in reply to an application of the Southern medical students at New York to be admitted here as students on nominal terms, have resolved to invite the Southern students at the North to a free attendance on the lectures here, although they have paid for their attendance on those at the North.
