    23. Had my horse shoed - the shoe was lost in the course of his ride by Wils. Stonest. to the celebration (pd. 25 c.) Rode out to Mrs. W's after seeing Bro P. &c. off. Took a pleasant evening walk & read Carlyle's Lat. day P. by the Run. Took tea with Bro' Talbert.
