    25.Wrote one or two skeletons of sermons. Read Emerson on Soul: came across a clever old farmer named Spates down by the Run. Walked into town. Went to Mr. Thompson's; sat with his good hearted wife some time and sang Hymns. After Tea walked over to see Miss Martha B. Went with her to practicing at Mr. T's. I didn't enjoy it very much. Miss Mag. P. returned from W. Got them to sing Apheka.
