The Hyannis Case. - The Barnstable (Mass.) Patriot adopts and endorses our proposition for some compensation to the owners and Captain of the brig Rolerson, who were subjected to annoying prosecutions on account of their honesty in returning a fugitive slave who had secreted himself in that brig at Pensacola.
The Patriot, copying our proposition, remarks:
To the above we add that Capt. Crowell and Capt. Orlando have been obliged to expend a very large portion of all their small means in their defense; the latter about his all. They did what they supposed to be their duty, like men, when assailed by bitter abolitionists, who were determined on their conviction. Such a movement as is mentioned by the Charleston Courier, would evince a reciprocity of feelings in the case, which would, we are sure, be gratifying to Messrs. Crowell and Orlando.
