First signs of the fall season with snow in New York and Pennsylvania and a heavy frost in Georgia

The first snow of the fall was reported at Pottsville, Pennsylvania, with around half and inch and Binghampton, New York, with around three inches.  The same day, a heavy frost was reported in Atlanta, Georgia.  (By John Osborne)
