SCRIVEN COUNTY, situated on the northeasterly boundary of Georgia, with Savannah river on the northeast. Area, 718 square miles. Seats of justice, Jacksonborough, and Sylvania. Pop. in 1810, 4,477; in 1820, 3,941; in 1830, 4,776; in 1840, 2,794; in 1850, 6,847.
