The legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee are hosted lavishly in Cincinatti, Ohio

The new Louisville and Nashville Railroad was seen as a significant opening up of the entire Ohio River Valley and the entire state legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee traveled from Louisville, Kentucky to Columbus, Ohio to meet in convention with the Ohio Assembly.  On Friday, they returned to Cincinnati where the city hosted them with lavish celebration and scores of speeches.  The legislators left for home the following day.  (By John Osborne)

The new Louisville and Nashville Railroad was seen as a significant opening up of the entire Ohio River Valley and the entire state legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee traveled from Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio.  Arriving in the morning, the group went on to Columbus where all three assemblies of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio met in convention and attended a ball in the evening at the State House.  (By John Osborne)

Entire legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee leave Louisville, Kentucky for Cincinatti, Ohio

The new Louisville and Nashville Railroad was seen as a significant opening up of the entire Ohio River Valley and the entire state legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee had traveled to Louisville, Kentucky for a celebratory dinner in the Masonic Hall.  The next evening the group, numbering around five hundred, boarded the steamboat Jacob Traner and sailed up the river for their invited visit to Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio.  (By John Osborne)

Entire legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee gather in Louisville, Kentucky

The new Louisville and Nashville Railroad was seen as a significant opening up of the entire Ohio River Valley and the entire state legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee traveled to Louisville, Kentucky for a celebratory dinner in the Mason's Hall.  Three days earlier, the mayor and leading citizens of Cincinnati had invited the entire party to visit their city in further celebration.
