The Duke of Wellington dies at Walmer Castle in England
Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, victor of Waterloo and former British Prime Minister, dies at his home in Walmer Castle on the Sussex coast. There is immediate national mourning and statements of regret and remembrance from all parts of the country. He was eighty-three years old. (By John Osborne)
