The famous trotting horse Flora Temple once again broke the world record for the mile distance in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Driven by James D. McMann at a pace of just over two minutes and nineteen seconds, she lowered her own record set earlier in the month in Cincinnati by more than a second.  (By John Osborne)
