Snively, Isaac

Isaac Snively was born around 1845 in Maryland and enlisted on August 15, 1864 as a substitute in Company K of the 45th United States Colored Infantry. Snively became a private and “mustered out” of service on November 4, 1865. He returned to Chambersburg after the Civil War and passed away on January 14, 1917 at the age of seventy-two. Snively was buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. (By Brenna McKelvey)
