The Black Republican press in this State, started the report that Old Brown’s pikes were manufactured by a Democrat. The receipt found on Brown is signed by a rampant Abolitionist. This nails the last lie of the nigger-worshiping papers. – Bridgeport Farmer

Will not the Times put this custom-house editor right as to the manufacturer of the pikes? We cannot afford time or space to refute one in ten of such unblushing misrepresentations, and in this case, we do not like to expose the name of a respectable mechanic, although he is a political opponent.
