    The Underground Railroad

    Chicago, April 8 - One hundred and twenty-six fugitive slaves left here last night for Canada.  It is estimated that over one thousand fugitives have arrived here since last fall.

    Detroit, April 8 - About three hundred fugitives, principally from Illinois have passed through here into Canada since Saturday, and large numbers are reported on the way.
