The legislatures of Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee meet in convention in Columbus, Ohio

The new Louisville and Nashville Railroad was seen as a significant opening up of the entire Ohio River Valley and the entire state legislatures of Kentucky and Tennessee traveled from Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio.  Arriving in the morning, the group went on to Columbus where all three assemblies of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio met in convention and attended a ball in the evening at the State House.  (By John Osborne)
