The Prince of Wales visits Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Prince and his party left Cincinnati in mid-morning by train and arrived the same day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was lodged at the Monongahela House and received an enthusiastic welcome. The cold rain that had dogged his Canadian tour continued as he left for Harrisburg the next day one in the afternoon. Reports estimated a crowd of 10,000 saw him off at the railroad depot.
