SUFFOLK COUNTY, situated in the southeast part of New York, occupying the eastern part of Long Island, with the Atlantic ocean on the south, and Long Inland sound on the north. Area, 640 square miles. Face of the country, undulating on the north, level in the south; soil, sterile. Seat of justice, Riverhead.
