SCHENECTADY COUNTY, situated in the east part of New York, and traversed by Mohawk river, and the Erie canal. Area, 200 square miles. Face of the country, hilly and broken; soil, near the Mohawk, alluvial and rich. Seat of justice, Schenectady.
