3rd. Went down to the boat to try & hear something of J. Daniel - couldn't; went up to Uncle Peter's room: couldn't hear aught. Sailed off to Rockville: - arrived at about 1 o'c.; I was received cordially by Bro' Stonestreet. He sd. I must put up with Bachelor's fare as his wife was gone away. Walked up after dinner to bro' Barry's & saw his wife. He came down & sat the evening with us. Queer old coger: I like him.
