    10th. Employed the day very profitably, I think. Wrote Notes for SS. Took a turn with Emerson. Walked in the green fields - and read the Articles of Crooks & Nadal in the Q.R. for Apl. Tolerable. Mc has put my pamphlet on his "list," I see. The Q.R. is interesting. Learned that the Joke about "Jimmy Brown & the Robbers" took place in my room at Sister W's!
