20th. In the morning went over to Emory: tolerably good congregation. Dined at Bro' Smiths. Came to Bro' Stonestreets to get ready for the Afternoon. Found the church jammed with people. Everybody seemed to be there. I felt worse than I ever did before. They say I blushed dreadfully. I though I'd sink; but took some water. I forgot everything bad however when I got to preaching - Text. Exodus 17.7 "They tempted the Lord, saying, is the Lord among us or not?" I was exhausted when I had finished: Bro' Barry closed. He was very happy. Found Mr. Hall at Mr. S's on returning. He invited me to come and see him. At night went to Bro' B's with the P.'s to sing: had a fine time. I like Miss Martha very much. Staid with Banate.
