QUEEN ANNE COUNTY, situated on the east boundary of Maryland, with Chester river and Chesapeak bay on the northwest. Area, 400 square miles. Seat of justice, Centreville. Pop. in 1810, 16,648; in 1820, 14,952; in 1840, 12,633; in 1850, 14,414.
