The steamboat Eclipse, from Mobile to Montgomery, struck a snag and sunk, on the morning of the 17th, a few miles below Cahawba. After stopping the hole, she was raised, and proceeded to Montgomery. The water at one time was about three foot over her deck. Her cargo is badly damaged.
