    Arrest for the Abduction of a Slave.

    WASHINGTON, Saturday, June 25.

    FRANCIS MITCHELL, porter on board the steamer Marion, was arrested at Charleston, on Wednesday, just before the departure of the vessel for New-York. He had attempted to abduct a slave, who was found hidden in MITCHELL’S room.
