Fourth national convention of the National Quarantine and Sanitation Association held in Boston

The National Quarantine and Sanitation Association held its fourth national convention at the Mechanics Association Hall in Boston. Organized to improve sanitation and the suppression of disease, especially in cities, the membership included representatives from Boards of Health from all over the country. The Mayor of Boston opened the proceedings and Dr. Jacob Bigelow presided. (By John Osborne)
