Eastern view of Dubuque, from Dunleith, Ill. - The view shows the appearance of Dubuque, as seen from the terminus of the Illinois Central Railroad, on the eastern side of the Mississippi. On the left is the terminus of the Pacific and Dubuque Railroad. On the right the Shot Tower. Back of the principal part of the city are the bluffs, rising to a hight of about 200 feet.
