THE ELECTION IN NEW JERSEY. New Jersey Unionist. "Now we've beaten you, I want to know what made you vote the Democratic Ticket?" New Jersey Democrat. "'Cause They paid my Poll Tax; and They said if we didn't beat the 'Constitootianal Amendment' we'd all have to Marry Colored Wimin." N.B. - The Poll Tax on Single Men in New Jersey varies from Six to Thirteen Dollars.
