Wood, Sterling Alexander Martin

Sterling Wood was a Confederate general from Alabama who quit the war in the autumn of 1863. After the war, Wood became a prominent attorney who died in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the town where Dickinson graduate Nathaniel Lupton worked diligently during the post-war years to help rebuild the University of Alabama.
