    The Census.

Circulars have been issued by the Department of the Interior to the United States Marshals relative to the taking of the census. Marshal Johnson has received one of the circulars, which instructs him to proceed immediately in the preliminaries. The State is to be divided into districts so that six week’s labor in each can accomplish the enumeration. The census takers are to commence on the 1st of June; thus they will finish the enumeration by the middle of July.

If these instructions are carried out of course the State should be districted next winter.
