PASQUOTANK COUNTY, situated in the northeast part of North Carolina, with Albemarle sound on the south. Area, 300 square miles. Face of the country level; soil of middling quality. Seat of justice, Elizabeth City. Pop. in 1810, 7,674; in 1820, 8,008; in 1830, 8,616; in 1840, 8,514; in 1850, 8,950.
