Parrish, Prime

Prime Parrish was born in Pittsfield, New York around 1823 and served in the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War. According to his service records, Parrish worked as a farmer before the war. In September 1863 Parrish was drafted and joined Company G of the 8th USCT. While fighting near Petersburg, Virginia in August 1863, Parrish was wounded. Parrish was mustered out on November 10, 1865 while in Brownsville, Texas. (By Don Sailer)
