Pradis, Reuben J.

Reuben J. Pradis was born in Kent County, Delaware around 1838 and served in the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War. According to his service records, Pradis was a farmer before he joined Company F of the 43rd USCT on April 8, 1864. His regiment participated in several engagements in Virginia during 1864, including the Battle of Hatcher’s Run in October and the Battle of Bermuda Hundred in December. Pradis became a corporal on November 18, 1864 and was mustered out in Brownsville, Texas in October 1865. (By Don Sailer)
