CALDWELL COUNTY, situated in the southwest part of Kentucky, on the easterly side of Tennessee river, and traversed by the Cumberland. Area, 600 square miles. Face of the country generally level; soil fertile. Seat of justice, Princeton. Pop. in 1820, 9,022; in 1830, 6,332; in 1840, 10,365; in 1850, 13,048.
