DEKALB COUNTY, situated in the northeast part of Alabama. Area, 1,500 square miles. Face of the country mountainous and hilly, but level along the streams; soil varied. Seat of justice, Lebanon. Pop. in 1840, 5,929; in 1850, 8,245.
