Lincoln denounces the Dred Scott decision

Responding to an earlier speech by Senator Stephen A. Douglas, Lincoln addresses an audience in the State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois on the troubles in Utah and Kansas.  He focuses, however,  on the recent Dred Scott decision.  Lincoln pledges that Republicans will not resist the decision but predicts that it will be soon overturned because it was "erroneous."
