JACKSON COUNTY, situated toward the northeasterly part of Arkansas, with Big Black and White rivers on the west, and the Cache on the east. Area, 800 square miles. Seat of justice, Elizabeth. Pop. in 1830, 333; in 1840, 1,540; in 1850, 3,086. (Fanning's, 1853)
