Abraham Lincoln visits his son at Phillips Academy in New Hampshire

Abraham Lincoln, on a speaking tour of New England following his Cooper Union speech, spent the Sunday with his son Robert Todd Lincoln and his classmates at the Phillips Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire.  He attended services in the Academy chapel.  Robert was in his last year at Phillips and in September would enter Harvard.
