Woman’s Rights.
The woman’s rights folks are hard at work in Ohio. Petitions asking the right of suffrage for women, have been industriously circulated during the Winter, and have obtained many thousand signatures, as have also petitions asking for married women the right to their own earnings, and to their children. A Committee of the Legislature has reported favorably on the first of these petitions, and Governor CHASE, in his message, has strongly urged the granting of the last. The advocates of the movement are very sanguine in their hopes of ultimate success, and are quite elated by this ray of light from the west. In Nebraska, last Winter, a bill granting the right of suffrage to women, passed the lower house, and was only prevented from becoming a law by the early closing of the session.
